Welcome !
We are a friendly bunch of young walkers who enjoy the countryside, chat, fine food and the odd bevvy.
We hold walks throughout the year in and around Hampshire. Our walk programme is live and can be found on our events page. We typically have at least two walks every weekend and they almost always include a stop off at a pub or teashop, or two.
We have a wide variety of walks from leisurely to a more energetic pace and the social side of the walks is valued as much as the walks themselves. We also organise a wide variety of social events including weekend trips, pub socials, cinema trips and even a summer festival!
The group was founded in February 2002; we are affiliated to the Ramblers' Association and have 150+ members.

Skittles Night, Saturday 11th February
Following the success of last years' skittles night at The Kings Head in Wickham we had another one on Saturday 11th February. It was a great night with a good turnout. We had several games of 'killer' and then the top 5 went on playing to find out who would win overall. A great night, thanks to those who organised it!
New Year trip 30th Dec - 2nd Jan
For new year 25 of us headed down to the Woodland Valley Centre in Ladock, Cornwall to do some walking and to see in 2012.
On Saturday 31st Dec we walked a circular route that took us from and back to Lower Porthpean. On the way back we followed the South West Coast path and admired the rugged and weather-beaten Cornish coastline. Afterwards some of us drove to Charlestown to the north where we had well deserved tea and cake! In the evening, we had a sit down home cooked dinner followed by a party taking us into 2012.
On New Years Day we headed west to Newquay and followed the coast path around the edge of the town before heading into it for a quick drink. In the evening a few of us went down the pub for dinner and then returned to play cards and games with the rest until late.
A great trip away!!
Forest of Dean trip, 19th - 21st August
17 of us went on the Forest of Dean trip. We stayed in St Briavel's Castle, which dates from the 12th century.
On Saturday we walked in the Forest and then had a medieval banquet. Most of us dressed in medieval costume and afterwards we had an evening of jokes, anecdotes, verse and juggling.
On Sunday we walked by the beautiful River Wye, including a ferry crossing and exploration of King Arthur's Cave. A lovely weekend.
Summer BBQ, 20th August
Our summer BBQ was lots of fun!
We had 20 people at Victoria Country Park, playing games such as Rounders, Lawn darts and Swingball. The BBQ food was really good and the weather was great. As the sun set Dan got his guitar out and played a few songs.
Thanks to everyone who came to the event.
